Here's Kanye West At A Press Conference In New Zealand

I like Kanye West's arrogance & suave style. He is immensely talented & confident! This is a press conference where he talks about his musical evolution. Kanye West says he delivers "sonic art". Andre 3000 is a similar type of artist because he is daring. A lot of people do not like him because he is so bold & brash in his statements. Sometimes he does too much, though. When he says that Beyonce is may be better than Tina Turner, I beg to differ. I think Beyonce is one of the most formidable talents on the current music scene. But, she's not on Tina Turner's level, yet.

Janet Jackson Is Supposedly Pregnant By Jermaine Dupri!

It seems like there's always a rumored pregnancy in Janet Jackson's life. According to all of the unsubstantiated gossip out there, she has a grown child with James Debarge. She has shot that story down as being completely false over the years. Well, with the recent bout of illness that she experienced, we should have known that the rumors that she's sperminated would resurface. There are several gossip sites claiming that she will confirm this pregnancy any day now. If she is expecting a baby, I want to congratulate Jermaine Dupri & Janet Jackson.

One Of The Greatest Reggae Bands Of Our Time: Midnite!

Here is an interview with one of the greatest reggae bands period! Midnite hails from the beautiful island of St.Croix. They are the #1 band in the Virgin Islands. The interviewer gets a little flustered once Vaughn Benjamin addresses all peoples of the African continent & diaspora. I love this band wholeheartedly because their music touches my soul. This song that I included is called "New Life" & it's about the pride of becoming a father. The lyrics to their songs are always deep & reflective. Here's their bio from their website Midnite St. Croix Roots:

"Hailing from the Island of St Croix, Midnite is one of the most promising roots reggae bands of the millennium. They are vanguards of conscious reggae who represent the King's and Queen's music to the fullness of Jah. Midnite's profound and innovative lyrics are sincere and deeply rooted to present the other half of the story. Their cd recordings and live performances will have reggae and non-reggae listeners open to the messages they bring.

Lead singer Vaughn Benjamin's electrifying voice seems an amalgamation of many great voices in reggae-soulful, chanting, edgy. Vaughn's potent lyrical style and his brother Ron's exquisite production, arrangements, keyboard and bass musical directorship form the nucleus of this musical yet rootsy sound, which includes Christian Molina (drums), Edmund Fieulleteau (keyboards) and Edwin Byron (guitars). Midnite weaves the cultural lyrics of "old school" roots music with modern day experiences to create a unique listening encounter. Reggae - naked and raw is an apt description for Midnite's musical style, in which they forgo the frills of extensive remixes, overdubbing and other musical refinements."
