Jennifer Hudson sang the National Anthem today & it sounded as flawless as Mahalia Jackson.Singing seems to be effortless for the lovely Jennifer Hudson.She's beyond classification when it comes to her musical style.I believe that this girl could do opera if she wanted to.Jennifer Hudson is a true American Idol in every sense of the world. "In her first public appearance since the tragic murders of her mother, brother and nephew in October, Oscar winner and "American Idol" vet Jennifer Hudson gave a stunning performance of the national anthem before the Super Bowl on Sunday (February 1).

Stepping onto a small blue platform, Hudson took a deep breath and leaned easily into the microphone, letting loose her signature crystalline vocals on the country's anthem, bringing the song a dreamy quality that rivaled one of the other great renditions of the anthem at the big game: Whitney Houston's legendary soul shakedown in 1991 during the first Gulf War.

Confident and immaculately turned out in a dark blue military style jacket, long white top and black leggings, Hudson gave a performance for the ages, easily hitting the song's notoriously tricky melody and nailing a pair of long notes at the end that sent shivers through the TV. DMX Gets A 90-Day Sentence!

DMX has received a 90 day sentence for various offences that he was found guilty of.Hopefully,he won't be able to get his hands on some drugs in prison.Maybe he'll clean himself up & come out resembling his old self.Because,like I've said before,DMX used to be kind of hot!Here's more from BBC News:

"US rap star DMX has been sentenced to 90 days in prison for theft, drug possession and animal cruelty offences.

The musician - real name Earl Simmons - has been in custody since December when he was arrested in Miami for failing to make a court appearance in Phoenix.

The judge said she would allow him to apply to serve his sentence in Florida.

The 38-year-old admitted the offences last month, including one count of animal cruelty brought after police searched his Arizona home in May.
