Mediatakeout is reporting that Rihanna & Chris Brown got into a physical altercation after an argument. Now,I hope he really didn't give her a black eye. She's too beautiful & young to be in any kind of serious relationship.Especially if the guy is abusive.Rihanna may not be the victim, but it is apparent that he hit a female & had to turn himself in to the police. In any case,it is never acceptable for a man to hit a woman. Here's more from Mediatakeout:

The IRS overturned a tax policy so that they could give more tax breaks to banks. How come the Internal Revenue Service goes out of their way to assist corporations while they audit the poor? How is it that the IRS never knew about Timothy Geithner or Tom Daschle's tax issues until they got nominated by President Obama? But the first time that I made a very small tax mistake,I got audited.Hmmm...something seems awfully fishy here. The IRS needs to stop giving tax breaks to corporations & looking the other way when wealthy & powerful people don't pay taxes. Here's more on the preferential treatment the IRS gives banks & how the stimulus bill will put it to a halt from McClatchy Washington Bureau:
"A tax decision that made it a better deal for Wells Fargo & Co. to purchase Wachovia Corp. would be eliminated by the economic stimulus bill being considered by Congress.
The Internal Revenue Service issued the controversial tax change two days before the Wells Fargo-Wachovia deal was announced Oct. 2, 2008.
Typically, businesses are limited in how much they can lower their tax liability when they acquire another company with built-in losses. But the IRS decision exempted banks, essentially providing no cap for how much a healthy bank could deduct from its taxes by realizing the losses that came with the troubled bank it acquired.
Several lawmakers cried foul when they learned about the preferred tax treatment for banks, saying the IRS had no authority to overturn tax policies without congressional input.
Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, is leading an effort in Congress to get the preferential treatment eliminated. A measure that would do away with it for any bank deal announced after Jan. 16 of this year is in both the House and the Senate versions of the stimulus bill still being ironed out by Congress.
Grassley told Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner before his Senate confirmation that he found the decision troubling and asked him how to “deal with the mess.”
Geithner said in a written response that he’d review the matter, which is subject to an inquiry by Inspector General Eric Thorson.
“I realize that this is a complex issue that raises concerns about Treasury’s authority, differential treatment of the financial services industry and budgetary transparency,” Geithner said.
Reversing the tax change could save the Treasury an estimated $4.34 billion between 2009 and 2013, according to Congress’ Joint Committee on Taxation.
It’s unclear what Wells Fargo saved in the deal to buy Wachovia.
Robert Willens, a tax and accounting consultant on mergers and acquisitions, said that immediately after the sale it looked like Wells Fargo would be able to use $74 billion in losses that came with Wachovia to shelter its profits, provided the merged bank continued to make money. Without the IRS rule, it only would have been able to take $1 billion a year in losses over 20 years, Willens said."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
There is a black woman named Star Parker who is making money off of blaming blacks in the ghetto for being there in the first place.Star Parker gave a disturbing speech on the initial circumstances of the Hurricane Katrina victims, in which she said they shouldn't have chose to stay in those projects in the first place. You can listen to as much as you can stand yourself because I've posted the video.
Today,I saw her on The Glen Beck Show. The discussion was about the corporate bailout.Star Parker claims that corporations will become addicted to welfare just like black people were until the 1990's.She knows that folks like Glen Beck just want her to say all of the things they never could get away with saying.Since she is a former welfare receipient,Star Parker must have been one of those black people that was addicted to government handouts.Instead of preaching about redistribution of wealth, which she knows way more about than me,how come she doesn't go back to those ghettos that are so easy to get out of & show the little lost sheep the way? Because Star Parker isn't concerned about the real reasons some blacks get mired down in poverty.
She could care less about those who are facing the poverty that she escaped. And self-preservation is her real motivation for making baseless statements that support the white conservative opinion.I think her autobiography,"Pimps,Whores & Welfare Brats",is appropriately titled because all of those nouns describe her.She is a former welfare brat turned race pimp who is whoring herself out for the good of the Republican movement. The introduction to the aforementioned book was written by Rush Limbaugh. That really says it all!
And what has this great critic of Black America actually done to help them "self-govern"? Nothing but criticize them. She is akin to folks like Ann Coulter.Except Ann Coulter doesn't rail against her own race.It bothers me that this is what conservatives call "assimilation".Because I will never distort reality in order to make money.Stop making money off assailing the black race. How is that helping anyone that is black & struggling improve themselves? Here's more on her from the conservative site Townhall.com:
"The story of Star Parker is a stunning chronicle of how she left the seductive life of drugs, crime, abortions and welfare abuse through the power of the Gospel to become a leading advocate for the family. She is at the forefront of the Christian conservative movement to motivate and lead others away from the lies of the culture to a life full of grace and truth.
Star Parker is the founder and president of CURE, the Coalition on Urban Renewal & Education, a 501c3 non-profit think tank that provides a national voice of reason on issues of race and poverty - in the media, inner city neighborhoods, and public policy.
In addition to heading CURE, and its network of inner city clergy nationwide, Star is a syndicated columnist for Scripps Howard News Service, offering weekly op-eds to more than 400 newspapers worldwide.
As a social policy consultant, Star Parker gives regular testimony before the United States Congress, and is a national expert on major television and radio shows across the country. Currently, Star is a regular commentator on C-Span, MSNBC, and FOX News. She has debated Jesse Jackson on BET; fought for school choice on Larry King Live; and defended welfare reform on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Star Parker’s personal transformation from welfare fraud to conservative crusader has been chronicled by ABC’s 20/20; Rush Limbaugh; Readers Digest; Dr. James Dobson; The 700 Club; Dr. George Grant; the Washington Times; Christianity Today; Charisma, and World Magazine. Articles and quotes by Star have appeared in major publications including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, and The New York Times. Recently she co-hosted an episode of The View with Barbara Walters, and her testimony went around the world on the television show of the Reverend Billy Graham."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
Star Parker is gaining fame by allowing herself to be the concrete evidence that Republicans need to show that blacks try their best to not be self-sufficient.Why don't they talk to a black woman like me? Even though I wasn't "seduced" by a life of drugs, babies,& crime, you would be able to get a true black perspective from me.But since I won't be able to play up the usual black stereotype for the right-wing agenda,I would be of no use.I haven't benefited from the government at all.Hell,I can't even get a Pell Grant!
This broad should learn not to generalize a whole race of people.Being black does not make you an authority on the entire race. You can only give an opinion on your own personal experience & those of the folks that you know.Using a black person to debase the black race is an obvious ploy that the right-wing loves to use.Star Parker is all too eager to be the person that is under their employ.I find her to be extremely hypocritical,un-Christian,& repulsive! Before my gag reflex starts acting up,I better end here.Sorry, but these type of people are hard for me to stomach!
