KKK Member Apologizes To John Lewis 48 Years After Beating Him!

This is an apology that took a lifetime to be spoken.48 years after brutally beating John Lewis,a KKK member was so moved by President Obama's historic win that he wanted to say sorry to the civil rights activist.I think that this is a good example of racial progress that more folks need to follow.Even though it took Elwin Wilson so long to admit his wrongdoing,I'm glad that having a black president caused a racist man to self-reflect & realize the error of his ways.It's never to late to say you're sorry.John Lewis has proven that by accepting his apology.Here's more on this unusual story from The Boston Herald:

"Elwin Wilson was an unabashed racist, the sort who once hung a black doll from a noose outside his home. John Lewis was a young civil rights leader bent on changing laws, if not hearts and minds, even if it cost him his life.

They faced each other at a South Carolina bus station during a protest in 1961. Wilson joined a white gang that jeered Lewis, attacked him and left him bloodied on the ground.

Forty-eight years later, the men met again — this time so Wilson could apologize to Lewis and express regret for his hatred. Lewis, now a congressman from Atlanta, greeted his former tormentor at his Capitol Hill office.

"I just told him that I was sorry," Wilson, 72, said in a telephone interview Wednesday as he traveled home to Rock Hill, S.C. For years, he said, he tried to block the incident out of his mind "and couldn’t do it."

Lewis said Wilson is the first person involved in the dozens of attacks against him during the civil rights era to step forward and apologize. When they met Tuesday, Lewis offered forgiveness without hesitation.

"I was very moved," said Lewis. "He was very, very sincere, and I think it takes a lot of raw courage to be willing to come forward the way he did. ... I think it will lead to a great deal of healing."

Wilson said he had felt an urge to voice his remorse for years. He talked about his past activities a few weeks ago with a friend, and the friend asked him where he thought he might go if he died.

"I said probably hell," Wilson said. "He said, ’Well, you don’t have to.’

Wilson’s apology was first reported by The (Rock Hill, S.C.) Herald. After reading an article about local black civil rights leaders reacting to President Barack Obama’s inauguration, he and another former segregationist called the paper saying they wanted to apologize.

The paper aired their comments and documented an emotional meeting with the local activists at a former whites-only lunch counter in downtown Rock Hill, where Wilson had antagonized demonstrators during a 1961 sit-in.

After meeting with the local activists, Wilson realized that Lewis must have been the young black man he had attacked at the bus station that same year, when a bus carrying two Freedom Riders rolled into town. The riders were Lewis, who is black, and the late Albert Bigelow, who was white. Neither pressed charges over the assault.

Chris Brown Bit & Hit Rihanna!

Oh,my lord! The herpes rumor is unsubstantiated,but it's on quite a few gossip sites & discussed on this video.What is being reported all over the news is that Chris Brown not only hit the beautiful singer,Rihanna,with his fists,he also bit her! I can't fathom what could have driven him to behave so savagely!And he had such a positive image!Now,I think that he has fucked his whole career off! More importantly though,Rihanna will now have to deal with the ramifications of his actions.Both physically & mentally,she will have to overcome trauma.This is completely UNACCEPTABLE.Here's more from Access Hollywood:

" New details have emerged over the alleged incident on Sunday morning between Chris Brown and a woman who authorities have not officially identified, but a source tells Access Hollywood is Rihanna.

The source told Access Hollywood that Chris Brown allegedly hit Rihanna with his fists and bit her during the alleged incident, which took place around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Brown, 19, was arrested on Sunday and charged with felony criminal threats. He was released on $50,000 bail."Brown, known in addition to his singing for his athletic feats of dancing — he has performed upside-down — previously said he studied martial arts, according to the New York Daily News.

The Los Angeles Police Department is still investigating the alleged domestic violence felony battery and told Access that additional charges may be filed.

Authorities released information to Access Hollywood that Brown and a woman were arguing in a car in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles just after midnight on Sunday. Brown reportedly stopped the car, he and the woman got out and the argument escalated. LAPD reports the woman suffered visible injuries.

Following the incident, Brown reportedly left, leaving Rihanna at the scene.

Radar Online reported that a source inside Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Rihanna was reportedly taken following the incident, said the singer became emotional when two female “assistants” went to visit her at the facility.

“Rihanna was clearly very upset by what had happened and I could hear her screaming,” the source said. “Rihanna was trying to get her point across about something, she sounded like she was crying as she tried to get… her point across.” (END OF EXCERPT)Read more here.

The Grandmother Of The Controversial Octupulets Puts Her Daughter On Blast!

This whole story is full of folks with a lot of issues.First,the fertility clinic where Nadya Suleman had six embryos implanted needs to be investigated.This woman cannot even support all of those kids.She is single,unemployed,& living with her parents.WTF?!!

I know Nadya Suleman forked over some dough for those horrific lip injections that it looks like she had.I wonder how much that cost.And if she has provided no financial support for the six kids that she already has,as her own mother has claimed,isn't that neglect? What really gets me is that folks aren't even more outraged by this!I'm sure they would be taking way more digs at this woman if she were black.Think about it!We always hear about how black women keep having babies so that they can stay on welfare.Folks would have had a field day with a story about an unemployed black woman getting artificially inseminated so that she could have even more babies that she cannot take care of!Glen Beck & Star Parker would be frothing at the mouth about this case if this was a black woman who purposely had 14 kids that she knew she could not support!They would be demanding to know how these children would be provided for!

In my opinion,there is nothing cute about this story at all.Unlike most single women who get on welfare,she planned to have all of these babies by herself.And she was receiving disability payments & never gave her mother any money to take care of the 6 kids she already had.Why? Because this is a selfish,irresponsible woman who is very,very self-absorbed.And instead of welfare,this woman saw an opportunity to reap a substantial profit from selling her story.

What really sticks out to me in this interview with the octupulet mom is that she constantly talks about what she wanted.Never did she seem to take into account what might be best for the 6 kids that she had.Her desire to have a large family crammed into a small house outweighed everything else,including the welfare of her existing kids.After all the media offers she's getting,I hope she uses the money to take care of her kids this time.
