Michelle Obama's High School Fling Says That He Always Knew That She Would Make A Difference In The World!

Michelle Obama's ex-boyfriend has nothing but good things to say about his old high school flame. Our new first lady has always had set goals. And it's a good thing that she knew what she wanted in life.Who knows where she would have been today if she would have stuck with this guy? I'm just saying! Some women settle for the first man that excites them. Not Michelle Obama! That's why she is a very accomplished woman who just so happens to be married to the first black president of the United States! If you stay focused on your goals, the sky just might be the limit! Here's more on what her ex had to say from the Telegraph:

"The first boyfriend of Michelle Obama has provided new insights into the First Lady, not to mention a prom night photograph of her in a satin dress with plunging neckline and a high slit.
David Upchurch escorted the then 18-year-old Michelle Robinson to the prom at Whitney M Young High School in Chicago in 1982.

Now a customer service representative and divorced father of three living in a modest house in Colorado Springs, he said that their romance went nowhere.

"I was a screw-up, plain and simple," he told the Enquirer magazine.

He claimed he had "pretty much forgotten" their prom date together and couldn't even recall if it ended with a kiss.

Mr Upchurch, the first of Mrs Obama's former boyfriends to speak publicly about their relationship, knew her family from an early age as they were both raised in Chicago's South Side.

"I grew up with Michelle and her brother Craig. We were neighbours and our families were close."

After his father died, Michelle's father, Fraser, took him "under his wing" and helped him to deal with his loss, he said.

They "began dating" when Michelle was in the middle of her junior year at high school –when she would have been 16 or 17 – and continued to see each other for a year and a half, until she graduated, he said.

"Michelle and I really liked each other, but you know how some high school boys are," he told the magazine.

"We're not ready to be responsible and we screw up. I was a screw-up, plain and simple! At that point, I just didn't take my life or my future seriously."

"But Michelle knew what she wanted, and after graduation she was off to Princeton. I couldn't stand in her way. I wished the best for Michelle because she's always been a wonderful person."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.

Two Veteran D.C. Police Officers Were Scrutinized Because Of Their Racist Views Before Obama's Inauguration!

Look at the picture above that has all of the arguments that the KKK makes against Barack Obama. This almost looks exactly like right-wing talking points.Pretty scary, isn't it? Rush Limbaugh,Sean Hannity,Glen Beck,Bill O'Reilly,Lou Dobbs,& countless others have made these same arguments on their shows. Is it any wonder that all of those men have been branded racists? They obviously share the same point of view as the KKK.And the two D.C. police officers who were associating with racists before Barack Obama's inauguration must feel the same way too! That's why the FBI zeroed in them. Here's more from The Washington Post:

"An FBI investigation that included taped surveillance had placed two off-duty veteran Capitol Police officers in the company of individuals whose racial views and capacity for violence were under scrutiny. Although the recorded discussion did not center on Obama, federal law enforcement officials wanted to ensure that the officers were not on duty covering the Capitol, where the president took the oath of office, according to two sources involved in the matter.

The FBI alerted Capitol Police officials, but some federal officials grew concerned when no immediate action was taken, according to the sources. Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan voiced his frustration to then-Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, according to a senior federal official with knowledge of the incident. Chertoff, a former federal appeals court judge, told officials that if the Capitol Police did not act, he was prepared to take the issue to members of Congress overseeing the inauguration, the senior federal official said.

"Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. . . . But there are codes of conduct that are necessary for law enforcement and people in positions of public trust," said one senior federal official with knowledge of the episode. Common sense dictated, the official added, that the swearing-in of the nation's first black president was not a time to take chances.

The episode underscores the extraordinary precautions that law enforcement agencies took in the days before Obama's inauguration, including scouring their own ranks for possible security risks. Officials have offered few specifics about their work to protect the president, a coordinated effort directed by the Secret Service and overseen by Chertoff that drew on scores of federal, state and local agencies.

Officials have said that a principal concern was the possibility of hate crimes spurred by racial prejudice, leading them to focus investigative attention before the inauguration on any number of domestic groups with white supremacist views.

The Capitol Police suspended the two officers with pay on Jan. 19, the eve of the inauguration ceremony, pending an internal inquiry into an allegation that they associated with felons in violation of department policy, according to a senior law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the personnel matter. The official said the action was taken as soon as officials received the FBI's file and was not precipitated by Chertoff.

"We were well aware of what some of the accusations were -- some of which may have been repugnant, their associations with these guys -- but none of it was criminal or actionable from an administrative" perspective, the official said.

The Washington Post is withholding the names of the officers because the allegations have not yet been substantiated and no one at the Capitol Police department would speak on the record about the case."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.

D.L. Hughley Ain't "Breaking The News" Anymore!

So,D.L. Hughley's show got canceled. That's one black show that I'm not sorry to see go.There were far too many cringe-worthy moments for me!And for others! After an earlier post that I did on his show,a lady suggested that I write CNN to get his show off the air!She was so serious that she left me the contact info & everything!Like me,she felt that his show was distasteful & an embarrassment to blacks! Not everyone can use racial stereotypes to drive home a point & make folks laugh, like Dave Chapelle did!D.L. Hughley is no Chris Rock, either. He's not witty enough to carry off a show like that.I knew it wouldn't be long before that show disappeared! Here's more from Cityfile:

"Comedian D.L. Hughley was pummeled by critics when his weekend talk show debuted on CNN last fall. "What the hell was CNN thinking?" a columnist for AdAge asked after watching the first episode. It remains unclear what was running through the minds of CNN execs when they signed him up for the spectacularly unfunny program featuring painfully awkward interviews. But the network may have come to its senses or at least decided to cut its losses. A source tells us that CNN has decided to cancel the show due to "budgetary constraints." We haven't heard back yet from reps at CNN, although the move wouldn't be surprising given CNN's troubles as of late and the fact that HLN (the network you used to know as Headline News) is now "beating its older sibling CNN in the target 25-54 demo," according to Broadcasting & Cable. We'll let you know as soon as we hear more. Update: It's confirmed: Hughley is out. An official statement from CNN and more detail on his departure below."(END OF EXCERPT)Go here to read the rest!
