My Take On The Controversial Racist South African Video!

Not everyone has heard about the case of four South African white university students who demeaned black school employees on video.This racist video sparked outrage when it first surfaced two years ago.

It basically is nothing more than a visual depiction of whites debasing blacks.There is nothing humorous about elderly black South Africans who were victims of apartheid getting victimized by the descendants of the people who caused their pain & suffering.

What was the purpose of this evil video? Here's more on that from Time:

"The riots that broke out in South Africa in protest of racial abuse on Wednesday, almost 16 years to the day that Nelson Mandela walked free from prison, have revealed just how distant the former president's dream of a Rainbow Nation remains from reality. The protests came in response to a video distributed on the Internet showing four white university students abusing black campus service staff by forcing them to perform a series of degrading acts, including eating food mixed with urine.

The video itself appears to have been posted as a twisted protest by racist students against plans to integrate university dorms. It opens with a voiceover in Afrikaans that says: "Once upon a time the Boers lived happily here on Reitz island, until the day the less advantaged discovered the word 'integration' in the dictionary."

The 10-minute film then moves on to a series of scenes in which black cleaners — four women and a man — are shown drinking bottles of beer in a race that the commentary describes as "down-downs," then taking part in a running race. In a final scene, what appears to be pet food is shown being mixed with garlic in a bowl. One of the four students then takes the bowl to a toilet, and is filmed urinating in it. The bowl is then heated in a microwave, divided into five plastic cups and handed to the cleaners, who are kneeling on the floor. The students shout at the cleaners to eat it. Two immediately spit it out; the three that eat it are then presented with a bottle of whisky. The video ends with an on screen message, also in Afrikaans, which translates as: "That, in the end, is what we think of integration."

The University of the Free State, where the scenes were filmed, said two of those shown in the video are still enrolled at the university, while two others had completed their studies. A spokesman said the university authorities were preparing to file a criminal complaint with the police.

Tensions have been simmering on campus over an integration policy introduced this year that aims to make black and white students mix more in university hostels. At present, according to a university policy document, "on the main campus, in effect we have 'two campuses — one white and one black — separated in the classrooms and the residences." "During Wednesday's brief appearance, the state announced that the mediation process between the students and the cleaners had failed and that the court needed to resolve the matter.

The court had previously suggested that the parties go through a process of "restorative justice" - where people are encouraged to reconcile rather than seeking punishment for their aggressors.

No reasons were given for the failure but a report was handed to the court.

Fifteen years after apartheid ended, racism remains a problem in some areas.

The BBC's Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg says student residences in the University of Free State in Bloemfontein are still divided along racial lines - reminiscent of South Africa's apartheid past

The video is believed to have been recorded in protest against the university's plans to racially integrate students' residences.

'Play-acting'

When it surfaced, it caused a national outcry and sparked numerous anti-racism protests.

The final extract of the film was the final nail in the coffin of the university's image.

It shows a white male urinating on food, and then shouting "Take! Take!" in Afrikaans - apparently forcing the campus employees to eat the dirty food, and causing them to vomit.

The lawyers for two of the students down-played the incident last year, saying the video was "no more than play-acting".

Jayson Williams Gets A 5 Year Prison Sentence!

Jayson Williams has finally found out how much time he has to do in prison. He accidentally killed his limo driver back in 2002. Mr. Williams received a 5 year jail term for that fatal shooting.

Considering the fact that this happened eight years ago,I would say that Jayson Williams was given ample time to prepare for his prison stint. Maybe now he will sober up & engage in some serious self-reflection. Because the victim's family feels like Jayson Williams has not been as remorseful as he should be.

"In a letter to the judge read to the judge, Andrea Adams, Christofi's sister, said she endured eight years of watching Williams "partying around" as if her loss was "meaningless."

"Jayson Williams has been treated like a king, and it has been tragic," Adams said. "I believe Jayson Williams is a danger to society and should not be walking the streets."

"Maybe then my brother can rest in peace," she said.

Williams first went to trial in 2004, and a jury acquitted him of aggravated manslaughter, the most serious offense. He was convicted of the four charges related to the cover-up. Reckless manslaughter was the only charge on which jurors could not agree. He was slated to be retried this year, but pleaded guilty Jan. 11. During that hearing, Williams admitted that he pulled a shotgun from his gun collection on Feb. 14, 2002. He failed to check whether the safety mechanism was on, or if the gun was loaded, and he didn’t pay attention to where the muzzle was pointed. When he snapped the gun shut, it discharged and hit Christofi in the chest.

Williams has remained free on $250,000 bail and has spent the last few days tying up loose ends with his lawyers and spending time with his daughters, ages 7 and 5, said Akhtar Farzaie, his friend and manager. He has also made provisions for his charity work to continue, Farzaie said.

In addition, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office has charged him with driving while intoxicated for a Jan. 5 car crash. His blood alcohol content was 0.19, court papers say. A Man Intentionally Crashed A Small Plane Into A Building in Austin,Texas!

A man intentionally crashed a small plane into a building today in Austin,Texas. This guy may have also set his house on fire before the crash.There is no information on the pilot at this time.

The police said, during a news conference on the status of the investigation into the crash,that journalists were speculating & that they were guilty of being "irresponsible."All of the "inaccurate" reports seems to have incensed Austin's police chief.

CNN has reported that the perpetrator Joseph Stack left a 6 page suicide note that espouses his anti-government views. He also talked about his hatred towards the IRS. The building that Joseph Stack crashed the plane into housed 199 Internal Revenue Service employees.Wow!

If you’re reading this, you’re no doubt asking yourself, "Why did this have to happen?" The simple truth is that it is complicated and has been coming for a long time. While very few working people would say they haven’t had their fair share of taxes (as can I), in my lifetime I can say with a great degree of certainty that there has never been a politician cast a vote on any matter with the likes of me or my interests in mind. Nor, for that matter, are they the least bit interested in me or anything I have to say.

Why is it that a handful of thugs and plunderers can commit unthinkable atrocities (and in the case of the GM executives, for scores of years) and when it’s time for their gravy train to crash under the weight of their gluttony and overwhelming stupidity, the force of the full federal government has no difficulty coming to their aid within days if not hours? Yet at the same time, the joke we call the American medical system, including the drug and insurance companies, are murdering tens of thousands of people a year and stealing from the corpses and victims they cripple, and this country’s leaders don’t see this as important as bailing out a few of their vile, rich cronies.
