Islamic Radicalism Is Becoming A Serious Issue In The U.S.!
The FBI is investigating whether or not Somali men,who are alleged to be Islamic extremists, pose a serious threat to the U.S.!They are concerned that the Somali-Americans who abruptly returned to Somalia might be plotting terror attacks here. Here's more from the Telegraph:
"The FBI is urgently examining links between the youths, who are all American citizens, and al-Shabaab, an Islamist group fighting in the country's long-running conflict.
Investigators are concentrating on two mosques, the Abubakar As-Saddique Islamic Centre in Minneapolis and the Dawah Institute in the neighbouring city of St Paul, where parents and guardians of the departed youths said their sons attended classes.
But the probe has now spread to Boston, San Diego, Seattle, Columbus, Ohio and Portland, Maine.
US law enforcement agencies are concerned young militants could return to the US to plot terror attacks, following a similar path to the British Pakistanis behind the London bombings in July 7, 2005 who made multiple visits to radical mosques in Pakistan.
The authorities began looking into the radicalisation of Somali youths after 27-year-old Shirwa Ahmed became the first known American suicide bomber in late October.
The Minneapolis student blew himself up in one of five co-ordinated bombings in northern Somalia orchestrated by al-Shabaab, whose former leader reportedly trained at terror camps in Afghanistan before being killed in an American air strike in May, 2008."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the whole article here.
BeBe Winans Has Been Charged With Assaulting His Wife! I Never Saw That One Coming!
WTF?!! BeBe Winans wigged out on his former wife in a domestic dispute that happened around Valentine's Day.This is one that I never saw coming & it's a damn shame! He ought to really be ashamed of himself for showing his kids how he deals with his anger.Because this all took place right in front of his children!
Here's more on his arrest from The Smoking Gun:
"Gospel singer BeBe Winans was booked yesterday on a domestic assault rap for allegedly pushing his ex-wife to the ground during an argument last month. According to a court filing, a copy of which you'll find below, Winans, 46, and his former spouse got into a "verbal altercation" on February 13 about "custody issues dealing with their children." At the time, Winans was at his ex-wife Debra's Nashville home, where he had driven to pick up his children. "The victim was telling the defendant of issues with the children when he became irate. The defendant then pushed the victim to the ground."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
Bernie Madoff Is Where He Belongs! The Billions That He Stole Isn't,Though!
Bernie Madoff's victims are infuriated that he has not said where their $50 billion went! He plead guilty,so he probably won't ever reveal that pertinent information to any outsiders. But since I think his family was in on the whole Ponzi scheme,I'm sure they've got a pretty idea where some of it's at.Bernie Madoff isnt'the only one that made off with the dough! But for now,he's the only one taking the rap!
I found this interesting little tidbit!.According to this Yahoo article, some folks invested with him because they knew that he was dishonest. There was definitely some greed on the investors part as well. Here's more on that:
"Specifically, we're hearing that the smart money knew Bernie had to be cheating, because the returns he was generating were impossibly good. Many Wall Streeters suspected the wrong rigged game, though: They thought it was insider trading, not a Ponzi scheme. And here's the best part: That's why they invested with him.
For years and years I've heard people say that [Bernie's] investment performance was too good to be true. The returns were too steady -- like GE earnings under Welch -- and too high given the supposed strategy.
One Madoff investor, himself a legend, told me that Madoff's performance "just doesn't make sense. The numbers can't be straight." Another sophisticated Madoff investor actually went through trade confirms in order to reverse-engineer the strategy and said, "it doesn't add up."
So why did these smart and skeptical investors keep investing? They, like many Madoff investors, assumed Madoff was somehow illegally trading on information from his market-making business for their benefit. They didn't consider the possibility that he was clean on that score but running a good old-fashioned Ponzi scheme."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
