I Never Would Have Guessed That Scott Brown Was Related To President Obama!

The newly elected Massachusetts senator,Scott Brown,is related to President Obama
. They are distant cousins. And this isn't the only Republican that Obama has family ties with. Not only is Scott Brown his 10th cousin,President Obama can also call Dick Cheney his cousin.

President Obama doesn't just have a "team of rivals" like Abraham Lincoln did.He has a family of rivals as well.

Here's more from The Wall Street Journal:

"President Barack Obama can add a new name to the list of things he calls Scott Brown: cousin.

Genealogists at the New England Historic Genealogical Society said today that the president and the Republican senator-elect from Massachusetts are 10th cousins. Obama’s mother and Brown’s mother are both descendents of Richard Singletary of Haverhill, Mass., who died in 1687.

The Obama-Brown family tree can be seen here.

This isn’t the first time genealogists have tied the president to notable Republicans. During the 2008 presidential campaign it was reported that Obama and former Vice President Dick Cheney are 8th cousins.

The revelation led Obama’s spokesman to quip: “Every family has a black sheep,” and the vice president to jokingly refer to him as “my cousin Barack Obama.” (END OF EXCERPT) Read more here.

Chris Matthews Is Obsessed With Obama's Blackness!

Oh,my goodness! I am so excited for Chris Matthews of MSNBC! He actually was able to forget that President Obama was black for an hour! How grand of him! What about our other presidents? Did he or anyone else ever forget that they were white?

I mean, that is pretty ridiculous to me. That is why I am leaning more & more towards becoming an independent. Because of folks like Reid & Matthews. They are so liberal that they have taken the liberty to say racist things. President Obama is a mulatto. Really, he is neither black or white. The man is a combination of both. Chris Matthews is using Obama's time in the White House to explore his own feelings about race out loud. Frankly speaking,he should keep his racist musings to himself.

But more importantly,Chris Matthews should obsess on not spitting while he talks. Because I'm sure some of his guests have been sprayed with his saliva. That would be my number one focus if I were him.

Here's more on Chris Matthew's ignorance from The Huffington Post:

"Chris Matthews is definitely going to take some heat for exclaiming that he "forgot [Obama] was black tonight for an hour... I said wait a minute, he's an African American guy in front of a bunch of other white people." Matthews was analyzing President Obama's first State of the Union speech when he made the remark.

As Mediaite points out, Matthews was fortunate that the GOP rebuttal began soon after his comment, preventing any awkward responses."(END OF EXCERPT) Read the rest here.

Former NBA Player Paul Shirley Pens A Disturbing Letter To Struggling Haiti!

Well,Paul Shirley has shown just how sensitive he is to the plight of Haiti. He wrote a scathing letter to Haitians expressing just how unsympathetic he really is.Paul Shirley believes that "using a condom once in a while" will help them in the future. What sage advice that is,right?

I think that the former NBA player ought to stick to pontificating on what he knows.Obviously,he is far from being a humanitarian. And,thankfully,he is far from being a contributor to ESPN. They have cut ties with him.

And those who want to victimize Haitians even further by blaming them for the disaster that has befallen them should refrain from that awful train of thought. Look at their current situation & do what you can to help Haiti recover.

Comparing innocent orphans & hard-working Haitians to homeless people on the street is outrageous. Even the president's place has crumbled. Should the president of Haiti be likened to a beggar as well? What is most disturbing to me is the fact that Paul Shirley used his celebrity to discourage humanitarian efforts.

Here's more from The Huffington Post:

"Paul Shirley, the former NBA player who still plays pro basketball, penned a long letter today about Haiti and the consequences of its earthquake, in which he seems to hold most Haitians accountable for the dire state of the nation.

He begins the letter by stating that he has not donated to relief efforts in Haiti and "probably will not... for the same reason that I don't give money to homeless men on the street." Shirley proceeds to criticize the country and its citizens, before pausing to ask, "Shouldn't much of the responsibility for the disaster lie with the victims of that disaster?"

Later in the letter, Shirley dedicates a special address specifically to Haitians:

Dear Haitians -

First of all, kudos on developing the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Your commitment to human rights, infrastructure, and birth control should be applauded.

As we prepare to assist you in this difficult time, a polite request: If it's possible, could you not re-build your island home in the image of its predecessor? Could you not resort to the creation of flimsy shanty- and shack-towns? And could some of you maybe use a condom once in a while?

Sincerely,

The Rest of the World"
