The Assassination Attempt On The Dutch Royal Family Was Astonishing To Watch!

Apparently,a financially distressed Dutchman tried to kill the Dutch royal family with his car during the Queen's Day festivies in the Netherlands! His car just missed the open bus that was carrying the royal family, but six people died in the process. The whole thing was so astonishing & horrifying to watch. And it all unfolded right on live television. Here's more from the Telegraph:

"His vehicle narrowly missed a bus carrying the royal family as it careered into the crowd before hitting a stone monument.

The black Suzuki appeared to target the open bus, which was carrying Queen Beatrix and her family through the town of Apeldoorn, about 55 miles from Amsterdam, during the Queen's Day festivities.

The driver, a white 38-year-old Dutchman, had reportedly lost his job as a security officer a few months ago and was about to be evicted from his apartment in the town of Huissen, near Utrecht, because he could no longer pay the rent.

He was photographed slumped against his seat with blood on his forehead, before being pulled from the wreckage of the car and then arrested and taken to hospital.

Before his death he had confessed to police that his action was aimed against the royal family.

"He was a normal, polite man who lived a very quiet and secluded life," a neighbour told De Telegraaf newspaper.

His car smashed through railings and careered through crowds of people waiting to see the royals, killing five, injuring 14 and sending others running for their lives.

Witnesses said the vehicle was travelling at up to 60mph and missed the royal bus by less than 15ft. It eventually slammed into black metal railings at the foot of a stone monument, where it came to a halt, its bonnet crumpled and scraped.

Television footage showed members of the royal family, riding in the open top bus, clutch their hands to their mouths in shock as the car sped through a barricade in front of them.

Princess Maxima, the wife of the heir to the Dutch throne, Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, leapt up in her seat and looked on in horror as the car hurtled through crowds of bystanders.

No one in the queen's entourage was injured during the incident, which happened around midday as thousands enjoyed the Spring sunshine."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.

A 20-yr. old Pregnant British Woman May Be Killed By A Firing Squad In Laos!!!

Samantha Orobator is facing death by firing squad because she allegedly smuggled heroin into Laos. The beautiful 20 yr. old pregnant woman has not had any legal representation since she has been arrested! In Laos, you get executed for possessing over 500 grams of heroin. Here's more from the Telegraph:

"A pregnant British woman, Samantha Orobator, is facing death by firing squad for smuggling heroin in what campaigners describe as a "hasty show trial" in Laos.

Miss Orobator, 20, from London was arrested last August at Wattay airport in the south east Asian country.

Prosecutors claim she had 680 grams (1.3lb or 21 oz) of heroin in her luggage.

According to the legal campaign group Reprieve she has not met a lawyer since she was arrested 9 months ago but it is believed that she denies the drugs were hers.

Under Lao law the death penalty is mandatory for possession of over 500 grams of heroin. At least 39 people have been sentenced to death for a variety of offences since 2003.

On Thursday, without warning or explanation, the government of Laos rescheduled Miss Orobator's trial for next week, but they have still not announced which day the case will begin.

A statement by Reprieve said: "By scheduling her trial for next week, the Laos court has made it impossible for any lawyer to prepare an adequate defence... Samatha's life now hangs in the balance."

The fast tracking of the trial came as the Lao authorities knew that a lawyer from Reprieve was preparing to meet Miss Orobator for the first t
ime.

"Laos appears to be acting in a way that frustrates Samantha's right to appropriate legal assistance," Reprieve concluded.

Miss Orobator became pregnant in unknown circumstances in December, four months after she was arrested. "It is not possible to confirm whether she was raped," Reprieve said.

"The prison where she is being held in Phonthong is meant to be all female, but this is apparently not the case." (END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.

Police Have Arrested A 72-Yr. Old Black Man That Is Suspected Of Being L.A.'s "Most Prolific Serial Killer"!!

A 72yr. old insurance adjuster is accused of being a serial killer.L.A. police claim that John Floyd Thomas Jr. raped & strangled 30 older white women over a span of two decades. They are calling him "the most prolific serial killer" in the history of Los Angeles!

Can you believe that this guy was once a hospital counselor & a social worker? From the med student that's accused of being the Craigslist killer to this,it's pretty unnerving to realize that you really cannot judge a book by its cover!!Because John Floyd Thomas Jr. looks just like a regular guy. Here's more from Yahoo:

"Because the killings occurred before the 1977 reinstatement of the death penalty, prosecutors are seeking life in prison without parole. If Thomas is charged in later cases, they may seek death.

In Los Angeles in the mid-1970s, a man police dubbed "The Westside Rapist" entered the homes of elderly women who lived alone, raped them and choked them until they passed out or died. Beck said police believe Thomas is the rapist and may be involved in scores of unsolved rapes.

The attacks stopped in 1978 — the year Thomas went back to prison for the rape of a Pasadena woman.

He may also be involved in killings beyond Los Angeles. A decade later and 40 miles to the east, at least one elderly women in Claremont was found raped and killed. The Times reported Thomas was being investigated for the death of five elderly women in that city, but sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said only one case was being looked at there.

Thomas is black. The victims in all 30 cases under review were older white women, mostly of lower incomes and often widows living alone. All were sexually assaulted and most were strangled.

Police said Thomas likely targeted the women because of their vulnerability and because they all lived alone. Cold-case detective Richard Bengston said serial killers frequently select victims of a different ethnicity.

Thomas had been twice convicted of sexual assault, and as a registered sex offender, he was required to check in annually with police.

During one visit in October, officers took a saliva swab to collect his DNA, which is a requirement for all sex offenders. Police weren't sure why he had not given a sample sooner.

Police Chief William Bratton and other officials credited Proposition 69, a voter-approved initiative that requires convicted felons and certain arrestees to submit DNA samples that are stored in a statewide database.

DNA and fingerprinting are the most important tools at a cold-case detective's disposal, Bengston said. When the killings were first investigated, there was no central computer system to quickly flag possible connections between crimes, and detectives relied on teletypewriter printouts and monthly meetings to exchange information.

Thomas was arrested at his South Los Angeles apartment on March 31, authorities said. Soon after, he resigned from his job with the State Compensation Insurance Fund in Glendale.

Born in Los Angeles, Thomas was 12 when his mother died. He was raised by an aunt and godmother and joined the Air Force in 1956. He was considered sloppy and late and was dishonorably discharged, according to the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the story.

In 1957, he was convicted of burglary and attempted rape in Los Angeles and sentenced to six years in prison. After his release, parole violations sent him back behind bars until 1966.

The allegations about Thomas stunned a friend, Earl Ofari Hutchinson, prominent host of the Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable and a commentator and author of books on the black experience in America.

"Shocked, shocked, shocked," said Hutchinson, who had known Thomas since about 1989. "He was very engaging, very involved, seemed very informed."

He said Thomas is married and has children."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
