Ludacris Is Heavily Involved In The Political Arena! He's Going Up Against Sarah Palin To Try To Get His Candidate Elected!

Barack Obama has inspired a change in attitude in many young black men, such as hip-hop artist, Ludacris. Ever since Obama announced his historic intentions to become the president of the United States,he woke a lot of brothers up. Life is about more than women, cars,& money. The choices you make as a public figure can have ramifications far into the future. This time rappers made a positive difference in the black community by encouraging others to get out & vote! How come no one is talking about that? Thanks, in part, to such rap illuminaries as Jay-Z,Will I Am,Ludacris,& others,Barack Obama got elected. Make no mistake about it. If it wasn't for rappers showing their support for Obama, the African-American vote would not have been as great as it was. Rap appeals to the youth whose vote was sought by both candidates. Now, Ludacris is stomping for fellow Georgian,Democrat Jim Martin, to the U.S. Senate runoff.

Big up to the reggae artists who made musical endorsements, like Cocoa Tea. Here's his song,"Barack Obama"! It's a wonderful tune!

Person With Serious Issues : Plaxico Burress Shooting Himself In The Thigh At A Nightclub!

Plaxico Burress is the star receiver for the NY Giants or at least he was. Buress has gotten himself into a mess. For some unknown reason, he felt the need to pack a loaded gun to go out to a nightclub. Now, if you're a major sports figure, there's bound to be haters out there. So maybe you shouldn't go places where you don't feel safe. Obviously, Plaxico Burress did not feel secure in his surroundings. He's just lucky that he shot himself on accident & not someone else. This video contains radio commentary from WDFN,a Detroit radio show. Here's more from CNN:

"A detective later said Burress had been charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. If convicted of such a charge, Burress could face up to 15 years in prison, according to New York state law.

Even without a conviction, the NFL could discipline Burress under its personal conduct policy. Commissioner Roger Goodell would have the final word on any league disciplinary action." (END OF EXCERPT) Read the rest here:http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/12/01/crime.burress/index.html?iref=mpstoryview

What If A Luxury Cruise Ship That You're On Almost Gets Hijacked?

Most people seek out a luxury cruise & their main concern is getting seasick. But, there are more dangers than a sour tummy on a luxury cruise ship. What if the cruise that you've embarked on almost gets hijacked by pirates? That's what happened when a cruise ship that left Rome on Nov. 18 on a 32-day cruise to Singapore was almost overtaken by pirates. Here's more from CNN:

"The Nautica was in an area patrolled by international anti-piracy task forces when two small skiffs appeared to try to intercept it, Oceania spokesman Tim Rubacky said.

The ship took evasive maneuvers and accelerated to its full speed of 23 knots or 27 mph. One of the smaller craft closed to within 300 yards and fired eight rifle shots at the cruise ship, he said, but the ship was able to pull away.

It was the first report of a pirate attack on a passenger ship of its size this year, said Cyrus Mody of the International Maritime Bureau, which runs a piracy reporting center.

"There have been a couple of passenger yachts hijacked, but they were much smaller," he said. It is "quite common" for pirates to target ships the size of the Nautica and even larger, he said, but they tend to be cargo ships, not passenger vessels.

The Nautica escaped without damage or injury to its 684 passengers and 400 crew, and arrived safely on schedule in Salalah, Oman early on Monday morning, Rubacky said.

He emphasized that the ship was not off the coast of Somalia, which has become a base for pirates, but off the coast of Yemen." (END OF EXCERPT) Read the article here:http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/africa/12/01/pirates.cruise.ship/index.html?iref=mpstoryview
