Will Michael Jackson's Comeback Concerts Be A "Thriller" For London Audiences?
Michael Jackson is having some financial difficulties. Is it any wonder after all of those plastic surgeries? He's been in the news recently because he's auctioning off some old superhero costumes & arcade games in April. Now,Michael Jackson is back in the news because he's making another comeback. Will his return to the stage be a "Thriller" or will London audiences tell him to "Beat It"!Here's more on the gloved one from The Rolling Stone:
"Michael Jackson comeback rumors pop up monthly like clockwork, but the buzz on today’s stories on possible MJ concerts is a bit louder than usual. Billboard is reporting that Jackson may appear at a news conference at London’s O2 Arena on Thursday, March 5th, to announce a run of shows there. Guess those other Jackson rumors about the pop star’s impending death were a little premature.
From what we can gather, the Jacko rumors started when paparazzi put a video camera in front of designer Christian Audigier, who was filmed earlier in the night walking with Jackson. The designer opened up about the fact he had just designed an outfit for Jackson. “He is going on tour in July, so he’s going to be… for three months, maybe more, and it’s going to be a big comeback,” Audigier told Hollywood.tv. “He’s traveling to U.K., London, on Monday. He’s going to be, on Thursday, doing the press conference…” Audigier is one of a small number of people who can draw Jackson out into public; MJ was photographed at the Ed Hardy boss’ 50th birthday party last May."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.

The Search For Two Missing NFL Players & Their Friend Has Been Called Off Because They Are Presumed To Be Dead!
Everyone was holding on to the hope that the missing NFL players & their friend would be found.Only one person was found clinging to the capsized boat on Monday.Hypothermia may have caused the other men on the boat to drift away.Right now,it is unclear why they didn't all stay together. And unfortunately, this incident isn't uncommon.I just pray for all of the families of the missing men.The search has been called off because it is unlikely to be a rescue at this point. Here's more from CNN:
"Bad weather, poor planning, a lack of safety equipment. Any one could put a boater in the kind of peril that befell two NFL players and their two friends off the coast of Florida last weekend, Coast Guard officials say. And such incidents happen all too often. The capsizing of the 21-foot fishing boat carrying the four men to a favorite fishing spot in the Gulf of Mexico was the latest of 200 such incidents reported to the U.S. Coast Guard in the past five months.
"The oceans are an unforgiving environment," said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Chris O'Neil. "Weather can be unpredictable. Any time you are in an open environment, you are taking a certain amount of risk."
That risk includes being lost at sea like Victor "Marquis" Cooper, an Oakland Raiders linebacker; Corey Smith, a Detroit Lions free-agent defensive end; and their friend William Bleakly.
The fourth member of the group, Nick Schuyler, a former University of South Florida football player, was found around noon Monday clinging to the upturned boat in rough seas about 35 miles west of Clearwater, Florida.
The four men had left for a fishing trip from Seminole Boat Ramp in Clearwater Pass on Saturday.
The U.S. Coast Guard is unable to provide specific numbers of how many people go missing from boating accidents like this past weekend's, but officials say that since last fall there have been three people who have not been found after triggering Coast Guard searches.
Those incidents can range from an unaccounted swimmer to a passenger gone missing after a boat sinks, said O'Neil, at the Coast Guard headquarters in Washington D.C.
Capsizing is one of the leading boating accidents, according to the Coast Guard's most recent report on recreational boating in 2007. Officials report there were 398 accidents from capsizing, causing 204 deaths and 284 injuries in 2007. Capsized boats cost nearly $1.8 million a year in property damages, officials say.
Collision with vessels or fixed objects and falling overboard are other major boating accidents."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
Michael Steele,Hip Hop Will Never Embrace A Punk Like You!
It turns out that D.L. Hughley's show is good for something. So far,he's gotten two Republicans to speak candidly.First,Ari Fleischer admitted that the Bush administration was wrong about the war in Iraq.Believe me,it was purely chance that Mr. Fleischer made that admission to D.L. Hughley. He doesn't know how to coerce answers out of anyone so that was just his luck that it happened on his show.D.L.Hughley is not politically savvy & he doesn't seem to possess any wit at all!
But,his show has produced one more great sound bite. And that was when Michael Steele came on his show to talk about how he can get hip-hop to embrace the right-wing philosophy!During his conversation with Steele,D.L. brought up Rush Limbaugh's power over the GOP.That was when the "hip-hop" came out of Michael Steele because he started dissing Rush Limbaugh. When Limbaugh heard about it,he let Michael Steele know where his place is.Did Steele really think that the GOP would really follow a black man's lead? Look at how hostile the republicans have been towards President Obama.
So,after talking a little smack,Michael Steele has decided to apologize to Rush Limbaugh. He didn't mean to offend the master of the republican party. And if that's not true, then why do folks feel compelled to say they are sorry as if they had behaved like petulant little children!I thought that what Michael Steele & others initially said about Rush Limbaugh is true. Why would he take back the truth? Because something, like his political future, made him punk out! Here's more from Salon.com:
"CNN's "D.L. Hughley Breaks the News" indeed broke news this weekend, when Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele told Hughley that Rush Limbaugh is not the head of the Republican party, but merely an "entertainer" -- and went on to call Limbaugh's anti-Obama rhetoric "incendiary" and "ugly."
Strong words from the new RNC chair, the party's first African-American leader -- but they didn't stand long. After Limbaugh attacked Steele this afternoon on his radio show -- "It's time, Mr. Steele, for you to go behind the scenes and start doing the work that you were elected to do instead of being some talking-head media star" -- Steele apologized. "My intent was not to go after Rush -- I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh,” Steele told Politico's Mike Allen. "I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking,” Steele said. "It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people… want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not."(END OF EXCERPT)Read the rest here.
Let me tell you something,Michael Steele. You may want to embrace hip-hop.But,just because you're black doesn't mean that hip-hop will embrace you.Why do you think that D.L Hughley brought Chuck D from Public Enemy to your little discussion? That's because Chuck D has written many lyrics about folks just like you.Sir,you have literally put the Uncle before the Tom!You are a disgrace to the race that you seek to use for political gain!
