Glenn Beck Needs To Lose More Than Just Advertisers!

Glenn Beck is the ultimate far right propagandist who has made an art out of presenting paranoia as actual information that people can use.He called President Obama a racist because he is quite knowledgeable in that area,being that Beck actually is a bigot!

That's why I'm glad that Glenn Beck has lost some advertisers because of his insane rhetoric.Kudos to them!It's just too bad that he hasn't lost his show yet.But since he is over at Fox News,they won't pull his show until the ratings sink.

"Some of the nation's biggest advertisers are distancing themselves from Fox News host Glenn Beck after he called President Obama a racist during a July 28 broadcast.

Geico has pulled its ads from Fox News Channel's "The Glenn Beck Program." Lawyers.com, which is owned by LexisNexis, also has vowed not to advertise during the program, according to Color of Change, an African-American online political organization that has been urging advertisers to stop supporting the show.

Additionally, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson all said their ad placements during the broadcast were made in error and that they would correct the mistake.

The controversy stems from Beck's comment that President Obama is a "racist" with "a deep-seated hatred for white people."

Geico spent more than a half-billion dollars on ads last year, according to the Nielsen Co. It spent more than a quarter-billion dollars in the first half of 2009.

A Fox representative noted that Geico is dropping its ads from the show but was quick to note that it was shifting dollars to other programs. "The advertisers referenced have all moved their spots from Beck to other programs on the network, so there has been no revenue lost," the rep said.

Children Suffering From Swine Flu Should Not Be Given Tamiflu!

British researchers have conducted a study on the effectiveness of Tamiflu & its side effects.They reached the conclusion that giving Tamiflu to children who are stricken with the swine flu can actually do more harm than good.Because it leaves them sick to their stomach.

Why would anyone want to give their child a drug that will make them feel even worse? So,those researchers shared the results of their study with health officials so that they can come up with a better way to treat the swine flu.Here's more from The Telegraph:

"Children should not be given the anti-viral drug Tamiflu for swine flu because its harms outweigh any benefits, Oxford researchers have said.

They called on the Department of Health to have an urgent rethink of its current policy in the swine flu pandemic.

Their study found that Tamiflu caused vomiting in some children, which can lead to dehydration and complications.

And the drug had little or no effect on asthma flare-ups, ear infections or the likelihood of a youngster needing antibiotics.

Dr Carl Henegan, a GP and expert from the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, said the current policy of giving Tamiflu for mild illness was an "inappropriate strategy".

He added: "The downside of the harms outweigh the one-day reduction in symptomatic benefits."

The study comes little over a week after other research found that children given Tamiflu preventatively reported side-effects including nausea and nightmares.

Researchers analysed four studies involving children aged one to 12 taking Tamiflu or another anti-viral, Relenza.

The children were being treated for normal seasonal flu but the experts behind the research said their findings would extend to the current swine flu pandemic.

Miley Cyrus Gave A Controversial Performance At The Teen Choice Awards

I thought that Miley Cyrus put on a much raunchier show than she really did because of all the ruckus that's being made over her performance at the Teen Choice Awards.Once I saw the "stripper pole" that she was holding onto,it was much ado about nothing in my humble opinion.At least we didn't get a glimpse of Hannah Montana's nipple or vagina,like we have with Britney Spears.

What I found to be far more disturbing is the fact that Miley Cyrus called Britney Spears her hero! Really?!! I hope that Miley Cyrus was just trying to give Ms. Spears a boost in the confidence department.Because selling a lot of records is not heroic.I'm not sure what Miley Cyrus was talking about.Let's hope for her sake that she is not trying to pattern herself after Britney Spears.
